Bti (Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis) is a product used to control mosquito larvae in the water.  When spread on the surface of the water the bacteria is released which the mosquito larvae eat, causing their death.

Saginaw County Mosquito Abatement Commission (SCMAC) distributes this product to our citizens, at no charge, so they can treat mosquito habitat on their property, preventing emergence as adults and reducing the need for Adulticiding.

Bti is available from May 1st thru October 1st.
